Before anyone hits “Contact,” event planners are scanning your site for one thing:
“Can this person command a room?”
If your homepage opens with “Welcome to my website,” the answer is already no.
Your Homepage Is Your Pitch Deck
The first five seconds should immediately establish credibility, energy, and clarity. If it feels vague, dated, or self-focused, you’re losing opportunities before they ever reach your booking form.
3 Things That Should Be Immediately Visible:
1. Social Proof
Who have you spoken for? Conference logos, media mentions, or testimonial quotes should be high and visible. No scrolling. No guesswork.
2. A Video Reel (Above the Fold)
This isn’t optional. If you don’t have a video within the first screen, most planners will bounce. Make it short, strong, and easy to find.
3. A Clear CTA
“Book Me,” “Check Availability,” or “Request a Custom Proposal”—pick one, make it obvious, and repeat it throughout the page. Avoid generic buttons like “Learn More.”
Your speaker site should feel like you’re already on stage. If it doesn’t, it’s not doing its job.
